Martinsville ISD Incentive Programs

DOGTAGS
Grades:  PreK-4th
At the conclusion of the six week grading period, we recognize students who maintained All “A” or “A-B” Honor roll status along with Perfect Attendance and Excellent Conduct awards. Students receive "dog tags" signifying their accomplishment.

GOOD CITIZEN AWARD- 
Grades: PreK-4th
Each six week grading period, a student is selected from each classroom in PreK-4th grade for their acts of kindness, generosity and helpfulness during the grading period.  Each winner is provided with a trip to CiCi’s Pizza for lunch.

HONOR ROLL CERTIFICATES-
Grades: 5th-12th
Each six week grading period we recognize those students who maintain an all “A” or “A-B” status for the grading period by providing a certificate of accomplishment.

HONOR ROLL PIZZA TRIP-
Grades: 5th-12th
At the conclusion of the first semester, all students maintaining honor roll status for each of the first three grading periods are provided with lunch at CiCi’s Pizza at no cost to the student.

STUDENT OF THE MONTH-
Grades: PreK-12th
Each month our teachers help select recognize students who have maintained a passing average in all classes, achieved good attendance and exhibited good behavior.  Each student selected receives a sign to place in their front yard indicating their accomplishment as a Student of the Month.

HIGH SCHOOL REWARDS CARD-
Grades: 9th-12th
Each student has the opportunity to obtain a rewards card for a 3 week period in one of the following categories: groomed and maintained facial hair, early lunch privilege, use of electronics during lunch and outside lunch on specific days.  Students must maintain a passing average in all classes, adhere to attendance requirements with few tardies and have no major behavior infractions during the 3 week period.  Failure to maintain any of these requirements can lead to revocation of the rewards card.

ACTIVITY PERIOD-
Grades: 9th-12th
Students who maintain an 80 average or higher in all classes are afforded the opportunity, during activity period, to choose the teacher/area they would like to attend. Students are given five options which include the ag shop, theatre, music, computer lab and the library.  

PRINCIPAL’S AWARD-
Grades: PreK-12th
Our administration, staff and faculty are charged with identifying students who go above and beyond by making our campus a great place to go to school.  The award recognizes students who display acts of kindness or service, display great conduct or attitude and those who put forth great effort.  These students names are turned in to the Principal and they are recognized with a certificate, a picture and a free ice cream or snack card for use in the cafeteria.

END OF THE YEAR MEDALS-
Grades: PreK-12th
At the conclusion of the school year, students who maintain perfect attendance, excellent conduct or achieve honor roll status for the entire year, are given a medal for their accomplishments during the end of year awards ceremonies.
